The Floridian media has gone crazy over Fay.

Yeah, it's a big deal. All tropical depressions, tropical storms, and hurricanes are.

Still, let's put this into perspective. Fay is a tropical storm, not a hurricane. Not even a class one hurricane, the weakest type of hurricane. It doesn't look likely Fay'll ever be a hurricane. Which means as nasty as it is, Fay's unlikely to match Andrew, Charlie, or Ivan. And it's certainly not going to be as terrible as Katrina.

I hope the local media remembers that.

Between the lack of devistating weather in Florida in recent years and the lack of annoying election snafus, think the local media is going a bit stir crazy?

Like I told you earlier, we're hearing about it out here in CA, which always makes us think you guys are going to be torn apart and drowned. So I don't think it's just your local news. (Maybe they're just really hard-pressed for stories right now? :p)
