Vacation - Day 5

Mostly, we just chilled and relaxed today.

My mom, some of the other woman, and my brother went shopping for souvenirs. I chatted with friends and played with the dogs.

Tonight - if it doesn't storm - we're going to the outdoor play The Lost Colony. It's about the first English colony in the New World, on Roanoke Island, which mysteriously vanished.

If anyone wants details, I'll be happy to oblige.

The Lost Colony was canceled tonight on account of the weather. There were several lighting strikes in the area and heavier rain headed towards the outdoor theater. The house manager didn't want to risk the audience or the cast by continuing the show in those conditions.

So, we're going to try to go to show again tomorrow.

Here's hoping we have better weather.


(PS: I hate the movie Nights in Rodanthe. I wish they'd turn it off.)
