Part 5 - Other Florida: St. Augustine, The Florida Keys and Key West
St. Augustine: The oldest continuously inhabited city in the United States, St. Augustine boasts of numerous delights for visitors. There are beaches, shopping areas, and historic sites - the fort and the Fountain of Youth. If you visit St. Augustine, I recommend visiting the fort (Castillo de San Marco). The site offers a tour of the building and describes its history, as well as providing excellent places for photographs of the city. I suggest skipping the Fountain of Youth. It is... underwhelming and unimpressive.
The Florida Keys and Key West: This string of islands in the Southern part of Florida has many great attractions. These include beaches, museums, reefs for snorkeling, lighthouses, the Hemmingway house, and mile marker 0. If you want a taste of authentic Key Lime Pie and of the quieter side of Florida, I suggest visiting The Florida Keys and Key West.
