Doing Laundry

How is it that in the space of under a week, four people can wear or use so many things that need washing?

Actually, I'm lucky. The lion's share of the washing was done yesterday - or the day before - while I was at work. This is just dealing with the left over unwashed stuff. (Which still makes for three loads to run.)

I'll probably post another entry later.

Yay for laundry. I know I'm always shocked when I realize I have no clean clothes left, and that it'll take about two loads to do it all, if I don't sort things out.

At least your washing machine/dryer is working, right? :)

*shrugs* I sort so I know what temp the water needs to be: hot, warm, or cold.

Yup. Doing multiple loads of laundry by hand is not something I want to try.
Ever.

*laughs* That's more than me. I do everything at once, unless it's something delicate or something I don't want to shrink. Then I wash it and hang dry it.

Yeah, I feel you. Handwashing stuff that's supposed to be handwashed is more than enough for me.

*grins* Oh, I sort in self defense. I think my younger bro would kill me if I turned some of his white stuff pink by washing it with the red shirts we have - which should be with the darks.

*nods* Me too!

*laughs* When I lived with my brother and mom or dad, we each did our own loads of laundry. We'd let it pile up and pile up until we had enough for one load or whatever, and then we'd do it ourselves. There wasn't any joining of clothes, so if you turned your white stuff pink, that was your own fault. :D

That wouldn't work well with how frequently I wear my work clothes. They need to be washed more often than the rest of my stuff, so combining the laundry means I have a full load for those things.
