A new non-partisan tradition?

I agree with this idea: Barrack Obama hosted a dinner in honor of his opponent, John McCain. He suggested that dinners honoring the losing candidate become a permanent inaugural tradition.

I'll be all for it as long as they are truly in honor of the losing candidate and not an opportunity for thinly-veiled gloating.
