My family's supposed to be getting a new member soon. My extended family is; my aunt and uncle are adopting a little girl from Guatemala.

They were supposed to back in the US with her yesterday. We - the FL branch of the family - still haven't heard if they've even got back to the States yet.

Argh....

Come on, somebody tell us when our new relative gets here!

My bro has been accepted to UCF.
We live minutes away from UCF.
Today my bro got offered a scholarship to UCF - for an out of state student.

Someone explain this to me, please.

What makes a good evil laugh?

I've always modeled mine after the "Ghost Host" from the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney, The Shadow, and the taped evil laugh in the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. So, it's a fairly standard Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha sounding thing pitched a bit deeper than my normal speaking voice.

There are other evil laughs out there. The Wicked Witch of the West's cackle, Mark Hamil's Joker has an insane & evil laugh, Tim Curry's is excellent, just to name a few.

It's not really all that hard to do an evil laugh. Just close your eyes, take a deep breath, think of your favorite evil laugh, and just... laugh.

Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.

Edit on 10/16: Today's Dilbert comic features an evil laugh. I am amused. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

And I'm sticking with it. Updates are going to be more sporatic, as the retail holiday season approaches and my work hours expand to meet the holiday rush.

I don't want to whine at my journal. While venting is good, too much of it can be depressing and it doesn't help.

So, expect what updates there are to be fanfic, amused observations, the occasional 'this is so dumb that I have to share it', and the occasional plea for my store's management to change the music.

You have been warned.

Life.

This is my first chance to update this journal since classes ended.

Before that, I had to complete 3 long-term projects within about a week of each other.Details here. ) As you can imagine, this left me rather harried.

Oh, two (really late) Easter themed fics have been posed to Many Cases, 1 Truth. I'll add 'em here later.

Later!

Yeah, I'm not feeling well. Doesn't mean I get to goof off. Doing internet searches for three different papers.

Race & Sports, UCF history, and Key West during Reconstruction are the three topics. )

Now, let's see if this cut works...

Edit: Waaa-hooo! It works!
